As a Virtual Editor, I work with almost anything that involves words. This includes web content, voice over scripts, newsletters, and a host of others. As an author myself, book manuscripts are my primary editing projects.

Manuscripts Fiction	Substantive Editing	Involves analyzing the organization and style of the content to ensure that it is in alignment with the project’s concept and its intended use. Includes checking for factual errors. Some rewriting and reorganization are usually involved.	$45/hour; Page = 300 words; working speed of c. 3 pgs/hour Eg. 40,000 words = $2000 40,000÷300÷3x45=$2,000	$850.00
Manuscripts Fiction	Proofreading	If your project has been edited, you may want a final set of eyes to look at your work and check for any errors. A proofreader looks for correct paragraph and page breaks, formatting, typos, and so on. It is not a copy edit.	$1.25/page/ 300 words	$75.00
Non-manuscript	Copywriting	Involves generating creative concepts and/or creating original copy for your project. For projects larger than 10,000 words, contact me.	40¢ / word for projects <10,000 words	$100.00

Please make note that a "page" is determined by a word count of 300 words.

Turn-Around Times

The turn around times on projects are based on maximum time periods. The actual return date is usually less than the time noted below. Rather than rush your work to meet arbitrary deadlines, I have allowed enough time to allow for problems with your project or for other unforeseen issues that might arise.

Remember! These are guidelines. Once we connect, I can give you an actual time based on my current workload and on the nature of your project and the amount of editing it will require. My goal is to allot the necessary time to your project to give you good value for your money in terms of excellence and speed.
