Move It! Move It! Move It!

4/15/2021

Polarity is the universal stressor.  If nothing is happening in your life and you seem to be experiencing the same day over and over, you are not using the power of polarity.  If you find that your dreams are not manifesting, you are not utilizing one of your greatest creative tools, the power of polarity. The deliberate application of  this Principle to your life will enhance and energize you and your experiences beyond your wildest dreams.

Einstein said, “nothing happens until it moves.”  He was referring to the idea that you are surrounded by an unlimited potential that lies dormant until it has a reason to move. Although I am not being presumptuous when I say that this possibility is waiting for you to move it, the question is, “how do you move this possibility into your life?” The means for this migration is given to you in Genesis when God separated the light from the darkness because this was the act that created the Principle of Polarity. The prevalent thought is, that God created night and day in this stage of  creation. Rather than night and day, He created the polarization of energy necessary for light to happen — the  Principle of  Polarity upon which the idea of light, or illumination, is founded. Without this Principle of Polarity, there would be no light, no new understanding.  Without polarity, nothing happens; nothing moves.

Feeling Inadequate?

4/7/2021

Picture
Decades ago, a person sent me this question: “How would you explain my feelings of inadequacy when I have been very successful at every job I’ve taken on and I made excellent grades in school? It doesn’t make sense to me.” Below is how I answered her.

First, I would say you should not judge yourself by the world’s standards. You’ll find they are very fickle. No matter what you do, there will always be someone who can do better. There will likely be someone who can’t and despises you for it. Whose standards are you going to live by? The guy who is more skilled than you or the guy who isn’t? If you choose either one of them, you’ve made an unfortunate choice for many reasons.

You create your own life. No one can feel for you, no one can think for you … unless you let them. Allowing yourself to use other people’s standards as your own is like trying to wear hand-me-downs. It never looks quite as good on you as it did on the original owner.

So, why do you feel inadequate? ...

We Never Leave The Classroom

3/31/2021

Picture
Do you ever feel like you are caught between two worlds? One day everything is going swimmingly. The next day, the so-called other shoe drops. Do you ever look around at other people and wonder why they seem to have some personal kind of magic that keeps them in the flow and wonder why you can’t seem to get hold of it for yourself?

When I first started to feel this way, I knew something was off, but I never made the connection between my thoughts and feelings and what was happening in my life. I mean, why would I possibly choose to be on the wrong side of life? Then I learned that I have the power of choice, and I’m not talking about choice out there in the world as much as I’m talking about the choices I make in my mind. I was taught that living on this planet is how we learn to deal with and appreciate the resistance we encounter. When you understand that resistance is a natural part of the process, that it is necessary, it takes on a whole different meaning for you.

Being here on this earth is indeed the same as being in a school room. We can sleep through class, or we can pay attention and learn. We can study and overcome the obstacles, the resistance, so that we can move on to the next class or lesson, all the while increasing our understanding. Each experience we have is unique to us. Nothing is by accident, and in some way, we have given permission for all of the relationships and experiences we have. Each of them gives us the opportunity to break down rigid habits and challenges us to change our thoughts and feelings.

Choosing how to feel about the ever-changing conditions of life is not easy. So how do we shift from being caught in this rollercoaster life? We acknowledge that life is a classroom. This earth experience allows us to be a helpless victim or to morph into a conscious creative being. Nothing happens to us unless it is  especially designed by us to serve a higher purpose than just being a slave to circumstances. Shifting from being a victim to life’s circumstances provides a conscious shock. You see and feel life differently.

We all want things to be better. We go to great extremes to make more money and have better relationships with other people and our families.  Yet even when people seem to have everything in the world, you often find them  looking for things to complain about. This is because our life here on earth is not about the things. When you recognize you are in a classroom, it is like a mindslap! You wake up and realize what is really going on and the part you play in it. You take control of your experiences by viewing your choices from a spiritual perspective, and your understanding increases as well as the quality of your experiences.

The Pendulum

Our Swinging Approach To Life

Picture
There is no other activity that contributes more to the negativity and suffering that a person experiences in this life than the inexplicable rush to swing like a pendulum through life. Opting to let the tides of opinion and emotion push you in one direction and then another, you quickly become oblivious to the movement. Even your heart conforms to the pace of this madness until it becomes the constant rhythm of your life.

Mindlessly allowing the world out there to punch your buttons pushes you into a reactive state, which is when your ego takes over.

Living On The Corner Of Happy And Healthy

3/4/2021

Picture
Walgreen's latest tagline may have a much deeper meaning than perhaps they intended. I was watching television one night recently, and my thoughts were running up and down the freeway of my mind, racing first one way and then the other. I was trying to pin down a direction for my life. Suddenly I saw the words form on the TV screen: Living on the corner of Happy and Healthy.

Everything in my mind came to a dead stop. Spirit had just nudged me. I realized that my dissatisfaction with the return on my achievements in recent years and the uncertainty about my future were holding me back from better experiences. They were taking over my Now, making my present less than desirable.  [Click below to read more.]

Are You Proactive In Your Life?

3/1/2021

Picture
Are you proactive in your life? Do you take the initiative to make decisions about what you want to experience or do you just react to circumstances?
I hope you are because we are responsible for the conditions in our lives.

In other words, what we are experiencing is the result of the decisions, the choices, we have made. Of course, we can't control all the world "out there," but we can control the responses we have to it. This is an ability with which we are all equipped from birth — our ability to choose our responses to life.

When we use our
response-ability to decide on how we are going to feel or think or act, we experience more peace, more harmony. Does this mean that everything will come up roses? No, it doesn't. It just means that we are learning how to dis-identify from those circumstances or people so that we don't hand over our personal power by letting other people or circumstances determine our choices for us.

So if we don't choose to be proactive, what are we doing? We are reacting to life. We are using yesterday's answers to today's circumstances. Why would we do this? Because we are not mindful. We are not awake and living in the Now. We have allowed ourselves to fall asleep on our spiritual journey by "resting on our spiritual laurels."

Our spiritual journey is life-long, 24/7. Our
response-ability is one of our greatest tools. Using it wisely eases the pain we inflict upon ourselves and allows us to embrace all the good that awaits us.
